Meet Coach Ryan

Cycling across Ireland in a day, through the hills of Tuscany, over the French Alps, up the world’s longest sustained paved climb up the Haleakala volcano in Maui and completing long distance triathlons are just a few of Ryan’s athletic adventures.  Ryan is a person who inspires with energy, drive and enthusiasm for life and training with him is to experience his positive outlook; Ryan’s infectious personality will have you ‘making your days count rather than counting your days’.  Ryan studied Exercise Science and Nutrition at The Ohio State University, and over his 23 years of coaching and personal training, he has seen many athletes experience dramatic improvements with simple, small tweaks to their form and approach.  Aspiring triathletes can maximize their training with his coaching and those looking to take their results to the next level can rely on his guidance.  Always thrilled to meet and work with new people, Ryan will instantly become your coach, mentor and advocate toward health and wellness whether you are just beginning your fitness journey, training to stay in shape, working through an injury or fine-tuning athletic performance.

 Athletic Achievements and Adventures  

  • Finished 3X Full Long Course Triathlons (IRONMAN) & 8X Half IRON Distance as well as Dozens of Sprint and Olympic distance races since beginning racing Triathlons in 2001 at age 19.  

  • Cycled the French Alps during the 2004 Tour de France & rode the epic climbs of Col du Galibier, Col du Telegraph, Col de la Croix de fer, & the mythic Alpe d’Huez.  

  • Cycled through the hills of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, Italy for 2 weeks while journeying south from the Italian/Austrian border towards San Marino and Ancona. 

  • Cycled across Ireland from Dublin to Sligo (123 miles) in a single day. 

  • Cycled up the world's longest paved sustained climb in the world, Haleakala Volcano in Maui (36 miles & 10,000 feet of elevation gain). 

  • Hiked the cliffs of Cinque Terre & most of the Italian Riviera while living in Northern Italy in 2023. 

  • Deep water solo rock climbing cliffs in Mallorca, Spain with family. 

  • Hiked Mt. Vesuvius, Capri & parts of the Amalfi Coast while living in Southern Italy in 2024.
